Fort Worth and Indian Wells played a hard-fought contest at Stars Field.

Fort Worth Cats starter Mark Edwards was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 3-1. Everton Mailes was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 18 save opportunities.

Adam Lowry aided the Fort Worth cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Edwards told reporters after the game.

The Cats bumped their record to 43-41 with this latest triumph.
