Bronx and Fairfield duked it out at Bronx Ballpark and the Bombers came out victorious.

Bronx rode a fine outing from starter Chris Riddle to victory over the Fairfield Flash at Bronx Ballpark. The final score was 3-2. Bartolo Alicpa got credit for the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Adell Anders notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.

Dave Thorpe drew 2 walks in 3 plate appearances. He drove in 2 runs for Bronx. The 24-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Leland Bullins. It was his 11th walk of the season.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Thorpe told a Bronx Herald reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."

The Bombers' win now puts them at 32-50.
