Peoria rode a fine outing from starter Steve Gould to victory over the Fort Worth Cats at Excavatar Park. The final score was 1-0. The Caterpillars' win now puts them at 33-48.

Gould, who dominated for Peoria, earned the victory to move to 4-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 2. Fort Worth batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Gould told a Peoria Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
