Detroit rode a fine outing from starter Dave Munier to victory over the Vancouver Canadians at The Death Star. The final score was 3-0. The Death Stars bumped their record to 47-35 with this latest triumph.

Munier, who dominated for Detroit, earned the victory to move to 3-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. Vancouver batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

Afterward, Death Stars manager Loren Garrison was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
