The Minneapolis Freeze took Albuquerque pitcher Steve Rosenberger's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Ice Box. The final score had Minneapolis getting past the Cacti, 7-4. Rosenberger went 5 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 6. Bryan Blashill got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. Rodolfo Reyes notched his 11th save in 12 chances.

Sean Hutchinson drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Minneapolis. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Alex Nambo. It was his 24th RBI of the season.
