Yan Rossi did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Reno Rockets from losing, 9-8, to the Astoria Argonauts at Golden Fleece Park. Rossi went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Astoria reliever Iestyn Cozens got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Harsha Majoo was tagged with the loss. The Argonauts bumped their record to 46-36 with this latest triumph.

Monte Irvin was the walk-off hero for Astoria. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Argonauts center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Irvin said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
