Billings Mustangs starter Julio Rivera was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Vancouver Canadians, 4-2. John Otten notched his 20th save in 25 chances. The Mustangs bumped their record to 45-32 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Billings, had it not been for Mike Pope, the 22-year old second baseman . Pope contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put Billings up, 3-1.

Pope told a Billings Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
