Fans who congregated at Mckinley Park were treated to extra-inning drama.
Benefiting from Gerard Vivian's productive game, the Antioch Coal Miners downed the Canton Paczkis, 12-7. Vivian went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Coal Miners. Antioch is now 50-26, 6˝ games up in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.
The Coal Miners got a big at-bat from left fielder John Johnson. For the game, Johnson went 2-5 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 56th hit of the season gave Antioch a 9-7 lead.
