Farlin goes 3-for-3 as Caterpillars Squeeze Past Coronado

The Peoria Caterpillars defeated the Coronado Phantoms, 4-3, in Darryl Kile League action at Phantoms Field, with Peoria right fielder Eric Farlin named player of the game. Jay Casbeer converted his 4th save in 5 tries. The Caterpillars now have a record of 31-45.
Farlin had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 cutter from Jamie Morgan, he banged a 2-run single to left, giving the Caterpillars a 4-3 lead. It was the 44th hit of the year for Farlin.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Coronado manager Jeffrey Graham.
