Bumblebees Lose, 4-1, at Ashton Gate
|
The Pasadena Bumblebees and Silver Lake Baristas met at Ashton Gate to settle a score.
The Silver Lake Baristas topped the Pasadena Bumblebees, 4-1, in Nick Adenhart League action at Ashton Gate. The player of the game was Silver Lake pitcher and China native Koi-sho An. In 6.1 innings, An surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run.
Vittoriano Lussu had a big run-scoring single for the Baristas in the bottom of the second inning. With Silver Lake leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Pepe Trevino and stroked the single to center. It was his 60th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Baristas ahead, 3-1.
"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Silver Lake skipper Diego Aguirre.
Silver Lake bumps their record to 35-40 with the win.
