Fans who came to Stanley Park watched the Reno Rockets and the Vancouver Canadians fight to the finish.

Reno pitcher Evan Charnley did his part in helping his team beat the Vancouver Canadians, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The last-place Rockets improved to 33-39.

Charnley allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 8 innings for the Rockets. He walked 2 and struck out 4.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Charnley.
