Cacti Bang Out 9-4 Win Versus Reno
The Reno Rockets got a superb performance from pitcher José Toro. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Albuquerque. The Cacti won the game, 9-4. In spite of the loss, Toro was named the player of the game. He came in in relief and pitched to 26 batters . Albuquerque starter Dan Thompson was credited with the win after throwing 80 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 3-5. Reno's current losing streak is now 6 games.

The Cacti got a big at-bat from catcher Jorge Hernández. For the game, Hernández was 1-3 with 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 24th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 1-0 lead.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Hernández said after the game.
