The Minneapolis Freeze bested the Calgary Kodiaks, 6-2, at Foothills Stadium. Jorge Barrera was named player of the game. He was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Andrew Johnson, the winner, improved to 5-3. He held the Kodiaks to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. The Freeze bumped their record to 41-30 with this latest triumph.

Minneapolis took a 6-2 lead on Barrera's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Juan Manuel in the top of the eighth, propelled Minneapolis to the win.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Barrera told reporters after the game.
