Benefiting from Kerry Hood's productive game, the Billings Mustangs downed the Detroit Death Stars, 6-2. Hood went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Mustangs. Billings reliever Steven Henry picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Hayden Capel absorbed the loss. John Otten notched his 17th save in 22 chances.

Hood had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the third inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Mustangs went on to win.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Hood.

The Mustangs bumped their record to 38-31 with this latest triumph.
