Cacti Score Late, Top Flash, 3-1
|
Albuquerque starter Dan Thompson pitched effectively against the Fairfield Flash at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Albuquerque goes to 36-32. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
John Gregg was the walk-off hero for Albuquerque. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cacti third baseman hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
Gregg said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
