Aeropostales Win at Silver Lake, 4-1
|
Indian Wells starter Ricky Bolden Jr. pitched effectively against the Silver Lake Baristas at Ashton Gate. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. Kevin Spurr, credited with the save, is now 18 for 19 in save opportunities. The Aeropostales are now 33-35, while the Baristas fall to 30-36.
Paahana Lima went 1 for 2 with a walk for Indian Wells. The 30-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Kagehisa Saikawa. It was his 9th RBI of the season.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Lima told reporters after the game.
