Bombers Continue Skid Thanks to Yasuda, Caterpillars
The 2034 season is getting ugly for Bronx.

The Peoria Caterpillars knocked off the Bronx Bombers, 11-5, at Excavatar Park. Kosaku Yasuda, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Peoria won. The designated hitter went 4-5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Matt Howard in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Ricardo Hernández took the loss.

Yasuda contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Peoria in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, Yasuda took a fastball from Ricardo Hernández and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Caterpillars to leap in front, 5-3.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Yasuda told reporters after the game.

Bronx, at 22-44, has lost 4 straight.
