Racers Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Reno

The Reno Rockets got a sterling performance from pitcher Guo-quiang Zhào, but the Racers still prevailed, 6-3. Zhào was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. Cristoforo Giugino, credited with the save, is now 4 for 5 in save opportunities. The Racers, at 38-27, have now won 4 straight.
Had Omar Ponce not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ponce hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Racers.
