Raptors Solve Freeze, 6-4
|
The Omaha Raptors defeated the Minneapolis Freeze, 6-4, in Darryl Kile League action at Anchorage Municipal Stadium, with Omaha pitcher Shu-yaan Qi named player of the game. Omaha is now 22-40, Minneapolis 36-26.
The Raptors got a big at-bat from right fielder Hoo-gwo Qing. For the game, Qing was 1 for 4. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 37th hit of the season gave Omaha a 2-1 lead.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Qing. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
