Cacti Solve Paczkis, 6-4
|
James Bell did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Canton Paczkis from losing, 6-4, to the Albuquerque Cacti at Mckinley Park. Bell was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Willie Fierro, credited with the save, is now 25 for 30 in save opportunities. The Cacti bumped their record to 34-29 with this latest triumph.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from designated hitter Damian Ballesteros. For the game, Ballesteros was 1 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Albuquerque a 3-1 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ballesteros told the Albuquerque Daily News.
