The Detroit Death Stars defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 5-2, at The Death Star. Detroit first baseman Jesús Faundez was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Death Stars have an impressive 38-24 record.

Faundez had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch cutter from Luis Hernández, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Death Stars a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Faundez.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Faundez told the Detroit Chronicle. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
