Islanders Lose to Texans, 3-2
|
Dallas starter Tony López had a strong outing against the Hawaii Islanders at Metroplex Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. López picked up the win for Dallas, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. The Islanders fall to 10-13 and continue their uneven start to the 2034 season.
The Texans got a big at-bat from center fielder Pablo Moreno. For the game, Moreno was 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 13th hit of the season gave Dallas a 2-1 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Dallas manager Anastasio Ojeda. "It's usually not just one thing."
