|
Fort Worth starter Don Myers pitched effectively against the Vancouver Canadians at LaGrave Field. The left-hander led his team to a 3-0 win. Myers picked up the win for Fort Worth, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Their 30-32 record puts the Cats 4th in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
The Cats got a big at-bat from third baseman Juan Jaramillo. For the game, Jaramillo went 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Fort Worth a 1-0 lead.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Myers said.
