Chicago starter Lorenzo Espinoza pitched effectively against the Espanola Bomberos at The War Dome. The right-hander led his team to a 8-3 win. The Titans bumped their record to 31-28 with this latest triumph.

Steve Pollard had a big run-scoring double for the Titans in the bottom of the second inning. With Chicago trailing 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Tokutomi Nishida and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Titans ahead, 3-1.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Tom Klein said.
