Racers Prevail, 5-4, Over Reno
|
Starting pitcher Alain Picard pitched well enough to help the Bowling Green Racers beat the Reno Rockets by the score of 5-4. The Racers bumped their record to 35-27 with this latest triumph.
In the bottom of the 6th, second baseman John Lacenaire gave Bowling Green the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The Racers had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out double off Reno pitcher Benjamin Piece changed that -- and Bowling Green went on to win.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Lacenaire. "But I have better dreams after a win."
