The Indian Wells Aeropostales defeated the Albuquerque Cacti, 7-2, at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Indian Wells right fielder Pat Pittman was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Indian Wells reliever Maite Tadeo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Steve Rosenberger shouldered the loss. Indian Wells is now 30-31, while Albuquerque is 32-28.
Pramana Djambek aided the Indian Wells cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-2 with a walk.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Pittman said after the game.
