Sasquatch Need Extra Frames to Get Past Fuego
|
The Sasquatch faced a stiff challenge from Santa Fe pitcher Dani López, but persevered to claim a win at The Fire House. The final score was 5-4. López went 5 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Hisataro Sato in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jun'ichi Suzuki took the loss. With the loss, Santa Fe is 13-11.
The Sasquatch got a big at-bat from right fielder Christophe Langlois. For the game, Langlois was 1-4 with a walk. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 6th hit of the season gave Seattle a 5-4 lead.
Langlois called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
