Despite a great performance by Bronx shortstop Bill Ottinger, the Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Bombers by the score of 8-7 at Bronx Ballpark. Ottinger went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. The win was Adharma Sughavanam's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ewan Pethick took the loss for Bronx. The Coal Miners own a robust 39-17 mark.
