Pinnock Gets 5 Hits
|
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for John Pinnock today. Pinnock went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Espanola pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Casa de Fuego, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Fairfield Flash had a 8-5 victory over the Bomberos.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
John Pinnock singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 8th and singled in the 11th.
Looking at his present stats, Pinnock has compiled a .352 batting average in 58 games with a .419 on-base percentage, while hitting 10 home runs and driving in 30 runs.
