So Cal starter Phoenix Smith pitched effectively against the New England Colonials at Skellington Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Pin-zhen Au earned save number 7. The Republic, now 15-7, have been playing some good baseball.
Noam Foucher, who is tied for 5th in the RCL with a .417 on-base percentage, chipped in for So Cal with a solo home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Foucher told reporters after the game.
