The Espanola Bomberos got a superb performance from designated hitter Yoshihiro Suzuki. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Bowling Green. The Racers won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Suzuki was named the player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 times. Bowling Green is now 33-26, Espanola 32-25.

The Racers got a big at-bat from second baseman John Lacenaire. For the game, Lacenaire went 1 for 3 with a walk. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 32nd hit of the season gave Bowling Green a 4-3 lead.
