Bomberos Prevail, 4-3, Over Bowling Green

The Espanola Bomberos scored a 4-3 win versus the Bowling Green Racers at Casa de Fuego. Espanola pitcher Kagetoki Ohayashi nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Ohayashi got the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Ohayashi allowed 3 earned runs. The Bomberos bumped their record to 32-24 with this latest triumph.
The Bomberos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Yoshihiro Suzuki. For the game, Suzuki was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 47th hit of the season gave Espanola a 4-3 lead.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Suzuki told the Espanola Daily News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
