Bombers Lose, 11-5, at Foothills Stadium
The Calgary Kodiaks dealt the Bronx Bombers a 11-5 loss at Foothills Stadium. Colin Carpenter was the star on offense. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Reliever Bob Archer picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Chris Riddle took the loss. The Kodiaks bumped their record to 29-27 with this latest triumph.

In the bottom of the 6th, shortstop Saul Montoya gave Calgary the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Kodiaks had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Bronx pitcher Chris Riddle changed that -- and Calgary went on to win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Carpenter. "And not try to do too much."
