Ishii Batters Cabo San Lucas Big Time
No matter what the Cabo San Lucas Toreros threw at him today, Akio Ishii hit it. He easily handled Toreros pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Pioneers to a 12-3 triumph at Field de Los Layendas.

"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Ishii's quip, Toreros skipper Matt Johnson said he "would take him up on that next time."

Akio Ishii singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Dylan Wilson in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
