The Fort Worth Cats went down to defeat to Luis García and his Albuquerque teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Cacti. The winning pitcher was García, now 3-3. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Willie Fierro converted his 21st save in 26 tries.
Francisco Germán was a key contributor to the win for the Cacti. In the bottom of the second with one out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to center. He was 1-3 with a walk.
"We put together a nice win," Germán said.
The Cacti bumped their record to 30-26 with this latest triumph.
