Dempsey Goes Wild, But Rockets Win
Reno and Chicago duked it out at Red Rocket Field and the Rockets came out victorious.

The Chicago Titans got a sterling performance from first baseman Marshall Dempsey, but the Rockets still prevailed, 12-9. Dempsey was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. José Toro, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings.

In the bottom of the third, Alejandro Hernández hit a 2-run single for Reno. The 29th hit of the season for the Reno designated hitter put the Rockets on top, 5-4.

"It was a solid team effort," said Hernández after the game.

The third-place Rockets now have a 5-game winning streak.
