Raiders Get Past Pasadena for 4-3 Win
|
The Pasadena Bumblebees got a sterling performance from pitcher Jerry Kennedy, but the Raiders still prevailed, 4-3. Kennedy was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. The Raiders saw their record improve to 26-27.
The Raiders got a big at-bat from left fielder Vicente Maldanoda. For the game, Maldanoda went 1-4. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 76th hit of the season gave Reno a 4-3 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Maldanoda said after the game.
