Victory Pushes Canadians Record to 28-27
|
The Vancouver Canadians trumped the Canton Paczkis, 3-2, at Stanley Park. Vancouver third baseman Ignacio Ochoa was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Wilson Polk got credit for the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 5.2 innings. Canton has now lost 4 straight.
Alex Solis aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3. He drove in 2 runs.
