Victory Pushes Argonauts Record to 29-24
|
The Astoria Argonauts trumped the Bronx Bombers, 7-2, at Bronx Ballpark. Astoria right fielder Carlos Hernández was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. The winner was Astoria reliever Ryouhei Kondo, now 3-0. The loser was Ricardo Hernández. The Argonauts bumped their record to 29-24 with this latest triumph.
Shoji Hosokawa, who was drafted in the three round of the 2030 draft, aided the Astoria cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the second. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Hosokawa said after the game.
