Victory Pushes Freeze Record to 32-19
|
Josh Kamm did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Joplin Fireballs from losing, 6-3, to the Minneapolis Freeze at The Ice Box. Kamm went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Sylvester Richardson got credit for the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. The Freeze bumped their record to 32-19 with this latest triumph.
The Freeze got a big at-bat from catcher Bill Kremer. For the game, Kremer went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 4-3 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Kremer said after the game.
