Argonauts Win at Albuquerque, 7-1
|
Astoria beat Albuquerque in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Astoria Argonauts defeated the Albuquerque Cacti, 7-1, in Darryl Kile League action at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, with Astoria pitcher Chris Pelton named player of the game. The Argonauts bumped their record to 28-22 with this latest triumph.
Will Southern, who is tied for 3rd in the DKL in RBI with 40, aided the Astoria cause with a 2-run single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Pelton said after the game.
