Indian Wells catcher Pat Triska was sensational. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Pasadena beat the Aeropostales, 7-4. Triska was named the player of the game despite the loss. Pasadena reliever Nick Copeland was the winner. His record is now 3-4. The losing pitcher was You-liang Rang. Even with the win, the Bumblebees have a dismal 10-41 record.

Jorge Mejía aided the Pasadena cause with a 2-run single in the top of the second. For the game, the shortstop was 1-5. He drove in 2 runs.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Mejía said after the game.
