The Freeze grabbed a win, 2-1, at The Ice Box, overcoming a fine effort from Espanola pitcher Tokutomi Nishida. Nishida went 7.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Freeze bumped their record to 29-16 with this latest triumph.

Bill Kremer's at-bat in the bottom of the eighth inning was a big one for Minneapolis. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Minneapolis trailing 1-0, the first baseman reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.

Kremer called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
