Aeropostales Stymie Bronx, Take 3-1 Win
|
The Indian Wells Aeropostales picked up a win at Bronx Ballpark, knocking off the Bronx Bombers, 3-1. Starting pitcher You-liang Rang played a key role in the triumph. Rang got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Rang allowed 1 earned run. Kevin Spurr closed it out for his 11th save.
The Aeropostales got a big at-bat from second baseman Anthony Miller. For the game, Miller was 2-5 with a double. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Indian Wells a 2-1 lead.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Rang.
Indian Wells has now won 3 in a row.
