Cacti Lose 8-5 Decision to Mustangs

The Billings Mustangs stopped the Albuquerque Cacti, 8-5, at Cobb Field. The Mustangs got a big game from Vern Carroll, who was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. Billings bumps their record to 22-24 with the win.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ramón Márquez. For the game, Márquez was 1-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Billings a 4-1 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Carroll said after the game.
