The Bronx Bombers picked up a win at Cobb Field, knocking off the Billings Mustangs, 4-1. Starting pitcher Chris Riddle was an essential part of his team's success. The winning pitcher was Riddle, now 1-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 7 and fanning 4. Wes Hardwick locked down his 2nd save.

The Bombers got a big at-bat from catcher Vincent Robinson. For the game, Robinson was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Bronx a 4-1 lead.

"I know we have our doubters," said Billings manager Bill Martin. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
