Billings Mustangs starter Julio Rivera was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Bronx Bombers, 8-6. John Otten earned the save for Billings, his 8th of the year. The Mustangs raised their record to 18-23.

Manny Lugo aided the Billings cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Julio is still learning," said Mustangs manager Bill Martin. "The sky's the limit for him."
