Islanders Come Back Late to Clip Hops
The Hawaii Islanders topped the San Diego Hops, 2-1, in Roberto Clemente League action at The Brew Stade. The player of the game was Hawaii pitcher David Guzman. The Hops fall to 7-15 and continue their wobbly start to the 2034 season.

Had Zane Mogeni not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Mogeni hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Islanders.

"We had a good game plan," Guzman said, "and we were able to execute it."
