Curtis Downing said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Bronx Ballpark, and it showed in the box score. The Bronx center fielder had a fantastic 5-for-5 day against the Peoria Caterpillars, leading his club to victory, 10-8.

"I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Downing said later."

Curtis Downing doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.
