Bowling Green right fielder Tim Beeman had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Silver Lake Baristas, 4-2. David Lidstone was credited with the save for Bowling Green, his 6th of the season. The Racers bumped their record to 23-20 with this latest triumph.
Beeman had a game-changing single in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Tomás Sameiro, he banged a 2-run single to left, giving the Racers a 4-2 lead. It was the 33rd hit of the year for Beeman.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Beeman. "But I have better dreams after a win."
